Vincenzo's Donates Lasagna Sales in October to Mom's Lasagna

Nonprofit to benefit in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 4, 2007, Louisville , KY – Vincenzo's Italian Restaurant, Louisville 's choice for elegant and affordable fine-dining, is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sales of its Lasagna Bolognese during the month of October to Mom's Lasagna, Inc. The donation, in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, is being made to the nonprofit organization which was co-founded by siblings Patrick and Beth Schmidt in honor of their mother. Mom's Lasagna, Inc. is dedicated to funding cancer research, specifically breast cancer research. Patrons who dine during the month of October on Vincenzo's Lasagna Bolognese, a rich meat sauce layered with ricotta, parmesan cheese, and topped with fresh mozzarella olive, will be supporting a cause that will affect approximately 3,220 new patients in Kentucky this year. In fact, 620 women in Kentucky will die from breast cancer this year.*

Mom's Lasagna, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to funding cancer research, specifically breast cancer research. It was founded by Patrick and Beth Schmidt, whose mother was diagnosed with cancer during her second pregnancy, and later died from the disease. For a donation of $25 or more to Mom's Lasagna, you will receive an exact replica of their Mom's original lasagna recipe.
