The donation not only applies to arrangements placed and needed in January, but also to those placed in January and needed in a future month (i.e. Valentines' Day.) The donations will benefit Mom's Lasagna, Inc., a Louisville nonprofit organization dedicated to funding cancer research, specifically breast cancer research. It was co-founded in 2006 by siblings Patrick and Beth Schmidt in honor of their late mother Patricia Schmidt.
